Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner will monitor demand, inventory levels and supply constraints in order to anticipate potential shortages or excess stock.

The role requires regular analysis of operational data and close communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will help maintain reliable supply flows, respond to changes in demand and contribute to improvements in planning processes.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Preparing and maintaining supply and inventory plans based on demand requirements.
• Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential shortages or excess inventory.
• Reviewing forecasts and adjusting supply plans when business requirements change.
• Coordinating with purchasing teams to ensure materials are ordered according to operational needs.
• Working with logistics and warehouse teams to monitor inbound and outbound flows.
• Following up on supplier deliveries and highlighting potential delays.
• Analysing inventory and supply chain performance indicators.
• Supporting the resolution of supply-related issues and operational disruptions.
• Maintaining accurate planning data within internal systems.
• Contributing to projects aimed at improving inventory management and planning efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management or logistics
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously
• Good understanding of inventory management and supply planning principles
• Ability to analyse demand, stock and delivery information
• Comfortable working with ERP or supply chain management systems
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets and planning models
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments
• Strong attention to detail when managing operational data
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution or an international supply chain environment is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of SAP or another ERP platform is desirable
• Good command of English; knowledge of German is considered an advantage
