Ingredion is looking for a Senior Application Tech for the Bakers, Snacks & Confectionery segment based in Hamburg!

This will involve leading technical projects in the Bakers, Snacks & Confetionery category, develop new solutions & concepts for EMEA region, lead the technical roadmap development and transfer knowledge to the GTM team in EMEA. Be the connection between region and global for the dedicated category and collaborate with the ingredient development managers as a SME in the respective category.

This role reports to the Manager, Applications & Innovation Ecosystem T&HS EMEA

What You Will Do

• Technical Project Owner (PTO) in relevant projects & capability builds: Technical point person for driving and executing the medium-term application solution development.
• Role with Hands-On-Activities: Spend significant hands-on time (30- 50%) in our iLTC labs and pilot plant (or externally) to run own trials and measurements in support of projects
• Co-owns Product Launches & Competitor Benchmarking: Together with the Ingredient Development Managers, Category Marketing Leads and global Application team, create and deliver new Customer Solution Technical Launch Packs, including food concepts and hands-on training, and leverage early customer feedback (post-launch support)
• Category Technical Expertise: Develop new sub-category technical application expertise for existing and new product portfolios. Lead solution development work for partner and strategic accounts as needed including critical capabilities such as sensory/consumer insights and measurement science.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Degree in Food Science or Chemistry (BSc or MSc) and minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the baker, snacks and/or confectionery (ingredient) industry
• Proven hands-on experience in bakery, snacks and/or confectionery applications
• Excellent formulator with a good understanding of ingredient interactions
• Good presentation and communication skills to enable efficient knowledge transfer with experience in cross-functional, international teams.
