What We Expect

• Specification, programming, and testing of embedded software in C/C++ for ARM-based control systems.
• Development and Design of electrical systems for escalators, including drives, safety, lighting, and sensors.
• Creation and maintenance of complex circuit diagrams, assembly layouts and project templates including programming of PLC-based simulators and test benches.
• Certification of functional safety and cybersecurity systems according to the standards IEC 61508 and IEC 62443.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and Service.
• Definition and execution of test plans for validating designs according to acceptance criteria.
• Technical support during commissioning, testing, and failure analysis at national and international customer sites.
  
  

Who we are looking for

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable discipline (university or university of applied sciences).
• Strong microcontroller programming skills in C/C++, ideally complemented by PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens S7, TwinCAT).
• 5–10 years of professional experience in Research & Development, preferably in electronics or electrical engineering.
• Confident use of IAR Embedded Workbench and Atlassian tools. Experience with Parasoft, TwinCAT, EPLAN, or Altium is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of standards IEC 61508 and IEC 62443, as well as experience in the elevator/escalator sector, is an advantage.
• Functional Safety Engineer (FSE) certification is an advantage.
• Experience in electrical testing (electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, etc.) is an advantage.
• Project management knowledge is an advantage.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a structured way of working.
• High level of initiative and enthusiasm for technical innovation.
• Business fluent in English and German.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

The Product Design Center of TK Elevator Innovation and Operations GmbH is responsible for the development of product features, harmonized global product platforms, as well as the conception and development of complete escalator and moving walk system types. Working in international teams alongside colleagues from our development centers in China and Spain, we create innovations for the efficient escalators and moving walks of the future.
