Our client is a fast growing GreenTech startup developing one of the world’s first scalable road based power plants. The technology uses existing road infrastructure to generate renewable energy from passing traffic without requiring any additional land.

As a Maintenance Technician in Hamburg, you will be responsible for the technical operation and maintenance of the road based power plant installed there. You will ensure reliable operation, carry out maintenance and repairs, and systematically investigate technical faults.

You will not simply follow existing procedures. Since this is an entirely new technology, you will actively help shape how maintenance, service, and technical support processes are developed for the future. Your hands on experience from daily operations will directly contribute to the continued development of the service structure.

Your Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the reliable technical operation of the road based power plant in Hamburg.

• Maintenance and repairs: Inspect and maintain the system across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. Your responsibilities will also include tasks such as monitoring and maintaining the hydraulic oil.
• Troubleshooting: Analyse technical issues, resolve faults, and document both the solution and the underlying cause.
• Service development: Create and continuously improve maintenance schedules, spare parts lists, and technical service documentation for the system.
• Spare parts management: Keep track of spare parts stored on site and ensure they are managed in a structured and reliable way.
  
  
  

Your Profile as a Maintenance Technician

• You have a technical background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, energy technology, or a comparable technical qualification.
• You have practical experience in the mechanical maintenance and repair of technical systems or machinery.
• You have a solid understanding of hydraulic systems and are able to independently understand technical relationships and identify potential issues.
• You are available for 20 to 30 hours per week and are flexible enough to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or weekends when suitable maintenance windows are available at the terminal.
• You enjoy taking responsibility, work independently, and remain calm and solution oriented when dealing with technical problems.
• You enjoy working directly on technical equipment and outdoors and feel comfortable in an active traffic and logistics environment.
• The ability to confidently read technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical circuit diagrams is an advantage.
