The Role

As Deployment Engineer you bring the YouTrain platform to the customer – in barracks, training centers, and partially isolated networks. You install and configure the platform and XR hardware on site, own device management (MDM) for our headset fleets, and are the first technical point of contact for instructors and customer IT staff.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, and update the YouTrain platform at customer sites (cloud, on-premise, offline environments).
• Roll out, manage, and keep XR headset fleets up to date via MDM.
• Set up and troubleshoot on-site network setups (Wi-Fi, firewalls, restricted networks).
• Deliver technical onboarding and training for instructors and administrators.
• Document deployments, maintain runbooks, and automate recurring procedures (scripts, images).
• Feed structured field feedback back to engineering and product.
  
  

About You

• 3+ years of experience in IT deployment, system administration, or DevOps with direct customer contact.
• Solid skills in Linux and/or Windows administration, networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls), and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
• Experience with container environments (Docker, Kubernetes) a plus; basic understanding expected.
• Confident, professional presence with customers – including under time pressure.
• High willingness to travel within Germany and Europe (regular on-site assignments).
• Very good German and good English. EU/NATO citizenship required due to our customer environment.
• Experience with MDM solutions for Android-based devices or XR headsets.
