The Role
The Role
- Design, implement, and maintain microservices for the payment domain using Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, and Kubernetes.
- Apply experience with relational and NoSQL databases to choose appropriate solutions.
- Develop intuitive user interfaces with React, TypeScript, and Material UI for efficient processing of complex payment transactions.
- Ensure code quality, extensibility, and readability by adhering to Clean Code principles, especially for financial transactions.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues through tracking, alerts, and monitoring before they impact customers.
- Collaborate with users and customer support to provide quick and pragmatic solutions for technical problems.
- Maintain high-quality standards through automated testing across relevant levels for sustainable product development.
- Operate platform services in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS clouds, working closely with DevOps.
- Several years of software development experience with strong Java knowledge, ideally with Spring Boot and other relevant tech stack components.
- Experience with external APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous event processing, preferably in payment, fintech, or integration environments.
- Enthusiasm for clean system architectures, with an interest in Domain-Driven Design, Microservices, and hexagonal architecture.
- A proactive approach to code improvement, separating responsibilities for long-term maintainability.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, share knowledge through pair-programming, and engage in continuous team development.
- Willingness to leverage AI as a tool for efficiency and better solutions, while retaining responsibility for outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for developing reliable, secure, and scalable software in digital payments and finance.
- Fluent in German (min. B2) and proficient in English.
