Responsibilities

Job Purpose

This job offers a Sales and T rader role in a dynamic and successful Global Metals Trading Desk based in Hamburg (Germany) .

You will be responsible for prospecting and onboarding new customers, to trade ferrous, non-ferrous, battery and precious metals with customers from industries such as miners, traders, producers and recyclers.

Support the desk trading with existing customers, and in compliance duties as well as operational and controlling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospects, build our footprint and onboard new clients
• Provide our customers from the metals industry with expert level of pricing and execut ion of metals derivatives (LME and LBMA) in the financial markets
• Maintain awareness of the risk and compliance culture and comply with company policies for which you have any level of responsibility
• Observe standards of market conduct and ensure you are aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to your role
• Develop fundamental expertise in commodities markets and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the products and markets in which you work
• Understand the desk’s business strategy and continually improve the operating model

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or related fields preferred. Master is a plus
• Language skills: Fluent German and English. 3 rd language is a plus
• Experience in Financial markets is preferred, interest in the field and understanding of hedging concepts and strategies is essential
• Experience or knowledge surrounding the metals business is a plus
