Become Our Next Underwriter Assistant and Support Our Renewable Energy Underwriters in the Risk Analysis and Sales Process
As our new Underwriter Assisant you will work with local and international colleagues, as well as key external stakeholders. You will play an important role in supporting our Renewable Energy underwriters, with documenataion, contract administation, data collection, market analysis and report generation.
What Will You Do?
As our Underwriter Assistant you will support our Renewable Energy underwriters in the risk analysis and sales processes by assisting with documentation, helping with preparation, mailing, maintaining our database, and overseeing contract administration. You will also manage operational coordination for brokers and account activities, collecting data, conducting market analysis and generating reports.
You will mainly collaborate with your local Renewable Energy colleagues, but also with the worldwide Renewable Energy Riskpoint organization. In addition you will work closely with key external stakeholders ( e.g. brokers, clients and carriers) ensuring a smooth and high quality service process.

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and a pragmatic, proactive self-starter, with the ability to take on responsibility, professionally communicate with multiple stakeholders and structure comprehensive data. You should be excited to play a key role in supporting our Renewable Energy underwriters and the expansion of our local offering in a growing market.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Spoken and written fluency in English and German is essential for this role. Other languages are an advantage.

You will join our boutique Renewable Energy Team located in the city center of Hamburg, Germany. You will work closely with a highly motivated and dedicated team which forms part of our wider global team, operating across 8 countries, with 45 renewable energy experts internationally.
The small renewable energy team in Hamburg have been established since 2018 and grown steadily since then.
Our organizational structure is flat, familiar and leaves many opportunities for all employees to make a difference, take responsibility, excel, and grow.

Key responsibilities include:
- Handling bookings and administrative support tasks such as premium tracking, contract management, and data input
- Managing incoming and outgoing communication with clients, brokers and carriers
- Owning specific essential processes and client accounts
- Organizing and maintaining files and databases
- Preparing and formatting reports, proposals, and other documents for underwriters
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure timely follow-up on business activities
- Scheduling meetings and events, including coordinating logistics and materials
- Attending relevant courses and internal underwriting meetings to continue learning and developing your expertise

- A degree in business administration or insurance/finance
- + 2 years of experience within the insurance industry or business administration, experience within technical insurance lines or property insurance is an advantage
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools and systems, especially Excel and willingness to use internal systems

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills written and spoken
