The Opportunity

Join Adobe as a Software Quality Engineer and be part of our mission to deliver world-class software experiences! This is your chance to work with a dynamic team in Hamburg, Germany, to build AI/ML tools for video and audio editors. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting the future of Adobe's industry-leading software.

What You'll Do

• Define test strategies for new features, determining what to cover manually and what to automate. Conduct detailed testing of new features, considering how editors will use them.
• Perform cross-platform testing on macOS and Windows, including varying hardware configurations.
• Develop and manage test cases, scripts, and automated tests, including using the latest AI tools to create custom testing solutions.
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports with detailed steps, anticipated versus actual results, logs, and crash data. Verify fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
• Provide product feedback on quality and usability, contributing to release readiness decisions, including collaborating with departments outside of Engineering.
• Work closely with our customers both online and in person to capture feedback and diagnose issues.
  
  

What you need to succeed

• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere (or another non-linear editing platform) and familiarity with Adobe’s video and audio tools.
• Understanding of real-world editorial workflows and performance factors.
• Curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies for software engineering and the technology industry.
• Problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or TV/Film/Media, or, 3 years relevant practical experience in media or post production.
