To help relieve our current department head of some of the day-to-day operational workload, and to streamline our processes, we are seeking a Deputy Head of Design and Development (m/f/d).

Your Responsibilities:
In your day-to-day work, you will primarily assist your supervisor with managing and ensuring the timely completion of standard and custom projects. You will support your project teams in the design of refrigeration and HVAC components, the planning and construction of prototypes, the preparation of equipment cost estimates, and providing technical support to the Production, Purchasing, Project Management, and Sales departments. In addition, you will drive the further development of processes related to ISO 9001/14001, CIP, CAPA, and FMEA, and optimize development and documentation processes. You will evaluate new digital and AI approaches with regard to their practical applications. Finally, you will contribute to expanding international collaboration between the R&D units within the corporate group.

Your profile:

After completing a degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, you have chosen a career path in design or product development. You have a background in custom machine manufacturing, such as refrigeration and air conditioning technology or another product area with a very wide range of variants. In your day-to-day operations, you will serve as a project manager (m/f/d) and support your colleagues in electrical engineering and mechanical design. You are familiar with software tools such as Confluence and Jira, as well as with 3D CAD software. In addition, you have proven digital skills and, as a communicative person, have gained experience working in an international environment.

• An experienced design professional with a deep understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
• Experience in custom machine building involving a wide variety of models
• Ideal: Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP-VC, as well as strong digital skills
