Logistic Engineer (f/m/d)
fixed term contract – full time – 40 hour-contract
Your main missions:
Attached to the Logistics Manager, and in support to the Logistic Engineer on Hamburg site, you will be responsible for the Logistics and the Supplier Quality Assurance coordination for our Safran Nacelles Hamburg site.
- Support the Logistic Engineer in the Management of the contract of the logistics provider and its activities reliability according to the production schedule, urgent deliveries, accurate archiving, and management of stocks
- Ensure the respect of HSE policy and deploy and supervize the 5S methodology for logistic area, including FOD Policy
- Responsible of the OTD and OQD regarding all logistics activities and deliveries to the customer
- Define and follow daily planning processes: Analyze production situations and define priorities actions with production and supply teams
- Ensure that controls are in place to ensure the proper execution of inventory discrepancies, physical, system movements and waste management rules
- Coordinate and prioritize the service provider's activities as needed in relation to production needs and customer requirements
- Measure and analyze logsitics provider global performance, collaborate with the manufacturing unit to develop improvement plans and necessary corrective actions
- Report non-conformities and carry out analyses, implement corrective actions with the service logistic provider to secure our business and ensure non-resurgence
- Ensure the reliability of the logistics provider's operating procedures, work to improve them and ensure that they are respected in the shopfloor.
- Work on improvement projects (internal and external) for the permanent improvement of logistics flows and storage
- Participate to workshops to determine packaging and working specifications for the introduction of new products and significant changes to the manufacturing unit (rate increase or decrease, transfers, etc.)
Your job requirements:
- Graduated from an engineering school or a University Master degree, you are specialized in Logistics and have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- First experience in supplier or provider management appreciated.
- Good proficiency in MRP2 processes; APICS BSCM certification would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of optimizing logistics flows and operational organization.
- Experience in inventory management and practices.
- Understanding of basic transport rules and experience in non-conformity management.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team and act as an interface between client and service provider.
- Pro-active and solution-oriented.
- Dynamic and flexible
- Enjoys working on the shopfloor.
- Autonomous, rigorous, and able to synthesize information.
- Fluent in English and German, French will be a plus
