Position Overview: The Senior Expert – Category and Spend Analytics will spearhead the strategic application of Chain IQ’s Category Management and Spend Analytics solutions across our global procurement activities. This role demands an expert with profound analytical skills, a knack for strategic category management, and proficiency in optimizing procurement processes through advanced analytics tools. The successful candidate will drive value by developing sophisticated category insights and enhancing spend analysis across multiple client sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Analytics Deployment: Utilize Chain IQ’s Category Management and Spend Analytics solutions to enhance category strategies and spend analysis for various global clients, integrating deep data insights with strategic procurement initiatives.
• Category Insights Development: Lead the creation of dynamic category strategies using Chain IQ’s Category Management and Spend Analytics solution, focusing on maximizing value through detailed analytics and strategic alignment with business goals.
• Advanced Spend Analysis: Oversee the implementation of Spend Analytics for in-depth spend analysis, identifying cost reduction opportunities and efficiency gains.
• Supplier Strategy Optimization: Employ advanced analytics to streamline supplier selection, evaluation, and management processes, enhancing global supplier partnerships and performance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to align procurement strategies with broader business objectives, ensuring cohesive action and support across departments.
• Risk and Compliance Management: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with global procurement activities, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators for procurement analytics, reporting outcomes and insights to senior management to inform decision-making.
• Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and technological innovations in procurement analytics to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 7 years in global procurement with a significant focus on strategic sourcing and analytics. Solid experience with Category Management and Spend Analytics is required.
• Negotiation and Supplier Management: Demonstrated capability in managing complex negotiations and maintaining strong, strategic supplier relationships.
• Market and Analytical Expertise: Deep understanding of market dynamics and proficiency in analyzing complex datasets to derive actionable insights.
• Project and Stakeholder Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Technological Proficiency: Advanced skills in procurement technologies and platforms, with specific expertise in Category Management and Spend Analytics.
