As the Manager (m/f/d) Quality Development, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and launching quality metrics for 2030, which are a key part of Hapag-Lloyd’s strategy. These metrics will support driving customer quality performance, effectiveness, and overall success. You will work closely with regional leadership, headquarters departments, as well as IT and product teams to ensure that performance dashboards for quality metrics are launched both internally and externally for our customers.
  • Contribute to our HL 2030 Strategy by prioritizing meaningful problems with significant business impact, using innovation and a customer-centric mindset
  • Execute the existing roadmap and contribute to shaping the long-term strategy for self-service products
  • Continuously assess the voice of the customer, market segment trends, and competitive opportunities and threats to define and support our strategy
  • Review cross-functional processes to translate the desired customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap and major product releases Create buy-in for the roadmap with internal and external stakeholders
  • User Experience and Requirements Definition: Develop high-quality BRDs and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time
  • Use web analytics to evaluate online customer behavior; experience with A/B testing and optimization is a plus
  • Be comfortable with hands-on, day-to-day problem-solving and implementing quick, effective action plans to meet short-term priorities
  • Ideate, propose, and deploy go-to-market approaches for customer-impacting programs as part of our strategy
  • Maintain close relationships with Regional Sales and Customer Service Managers, Regional BSDs, GBS, IT, and other CEO departments
  • Retrieve, analyze, and present data from Salesforce, QlikView, Compass, and other commercial databases for C-level stakeholders
  • Monitor and track commercial trends within the shipping industry and beyond for benchmarking and best practice adoption
  • Lead performance management topics related to quality and service delivery outcomes and/or commercial priorities
  • Potentially oversee a team dedicated to Quality Promises in India
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in project, program, and/or product development, preferably within both global and local (country-level) organizations
  • Proven experience in project and program management
  • Experience with QlikView, web product development, and Salesforce analytics is an advantage
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required; German is a plus
  • Experience in regional or area roles such as Sales, Customer Service, or Operations is beneficial
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a structured and analytical work approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel 30–40% of the time
  • Proficiency in MS Office is essential
