Purchasing Director - #2209596

We are excited to be partnering with a very impressive well established medical equipment manufacturing company. Due to the growth of the business, they have had a brand new opportunity that has come up for their team in Germany. The position is a Purchasing Director on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader with strong knowledge of the medical device and manufacturing purchasing industry and processes. The company thrives due to its strong cultural foundation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to continuously improve supply chain efficiency
• Active supplier management, especially in establishing and developing supplier relationships
• Obtaining and evaluating offers, as well as negotiating purchasing and procurement conditions and contracts with suppliers in consultation with strategic purchasing and production planning
• Optimization of coordination with the production plants as part of the regular S&OP and foster collaboration with R&D and Production
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans e.g. dual sourcing
• Management and maintenance of purchasing/procurement data and documents.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sourcing/procurement/purchasing
• Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP software, strong knowledge of excel
• Ability to interact with suppliers, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Fluent in German & English
