Engineer Blade Structures (m/f/d) - Transport & Handling - #2197891

One of the core competencies of Nordex is the development of rotor blades from early concept phase to serial production. We have modern blade production and testing facilities and work together with both Nordex internal and external partners.

To strengthen our Transport and Handling Analysis team within the Blade Structures department, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer Blade Structures (m/f/d). In this role, you will support blade logistics through structural analysis of rotor blades during transport and handling scenarios, contributing to development and verification processes.

YOUR TASKS

• Perform structural analysis of rotor blades and components, focusing on transport (sea/road/rail), storage, lifting, and dismantling
• Develop mechanical models and conduct stress analysis under static and dynamic conditions during transport and handling
• Analyze stress and stability of lightweight rotor blade components made of fiber-reinforced composites using analytical and numerical methods (e.g., FEM)
• Prepare verification documentation for structural analyses
• Define technical requirements for transport and handling processes and tools
• Design and support static and dynamic validation tests
• Drive continuous improvement of transport and handling procedures
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, civil, aerospace, or plastics technology) or a comparable qualification
• Ideally 2–5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong understanding of engineering mechanics and ability to simplify complex loading scenarios into practical models
• Solid knowledge of fiber-reinforced composites, including materials and manufacturing processes
• Proficient in finite element analysis, preferably with experience using ANSYS
• Professional working proficiency in English; additional language skills (e.g., German, Spanish) are a plus
• Excellent communication and intercultural skills
• Structured, independent working style with strong team orientation and reliability
