Purpose of the Role

As a Pharma Product Specialist, you will support the Global Product Manager for Pharma Cold Chain Management (PCCM) in shaping and advancing our global product strategy. You’ll contribute to product development, feature ideation, user story creation, and operational execution—ensuring Maersk’s cold chain solutions remain innovative, compliant, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Product Growth and Innovation

  • Support the global expansion of the PCCM product portfolio.
  • Contribute to opportunity delivery aligned with the PCCM value proposition.
  • Participate in RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes to ensure competitive, high-quality proposals.
  • Assist in evaluating and supporting new business and acquisition opportunities.

Enable Commercial Excellence

  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to our Pharma & Healthcare commercial organization.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the Pharma & Healthcare product team, translating feedback into actionable product improvements.
  • Document evolving customer needs and market trends.

Build Internal Capabilities

  • Establish and lead centers of expertise for PCCM.
  • Increase internal awareness and understanding of PCCM offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Solution Design, Implementation, Cold Stores, Landside, Depots) to ensure readiness and alignment.

Support Execution and Optimization

  • Co-develop end-to-end value propositions with regional and area teams.
  • Build and maintain a library of case studies and success stories.
  • Support global customer implementations and ensure seamless onboarding.
  • Continuously optimize the product to maintain differentiation and relevance.

Enable Knowledge Sharing

  • Develop and deliver training materials for key stakeholders across functions such as Customer Experience, Sales, Procurement, Intermodal, and Delivery.

Key Competencies And Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of logistics and the Pharma & Healthcare industry, with hands-on experience in cold chain and temperature-sensitive supply chains.
  • Proven ability to design and sell technical service solutions, tailored to complex customer needs in regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and emerging developments within the Pharma & Healthcare sector.
  • Strong insight into customer requirements, with the ability to translate needs into actionable logistics solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of aligning diverse internal and external partners.
  • Thorough understanding of the commercial sales process for Pharma & Healthcare logistics solutions.
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
