Description

We are currently seeking a Cluster Procurement Manager to lead and manage a team of 6-8 geographically dispersed site Fulfilment Center (FC) Procurement buyers around Hamburg. This individual will lead their team to provide meaningful procurement solutions and deliver against key performance indicators to contribute against regional procurement and local operational FC goals. They will integrate with key site and regional operational and support leaders driving procurement contributions for the indirect demand of internal customes.

  • Hire and develop a strong team able to deliver procurement solutions and scale with the network demands on a long term planning horizon
  • Direct team to develop and coordinate a reliable, cost effective and ever-growing supply chain for locally managed goods and services
  • Ensure network-wide standardization for all procurement related processes and FC service activities
  • Partner with internal customers to positively influence spending and ensure good stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinate sourcing engagements, as well as sourcing teams, as you identify new opportunities and RFXs, where appropriate
  • Discover opportunities to leverage and rationalize the supply base, using smart critical tools and techniques
  • Implement supplier agreements/contracts, by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers as you reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  • Participate with start-up teams for new, local FCs, setting up local suppliers and services, including working with cross-functional teams to secure long lead time capital purchases, optimizing indirect procurement supply chain and establishing multi-year contracts
  • Establish a range of services and supplies for cross-functional teams while reducing cost and improving overall service of the supply chain.
  • Coordinate / participate in large cross-functional network cost-out projects
  • Ability to abstract operational processes, turn into a strategy and set targets to execute against and successfully deliver
  • Understanding of concepts such as Operational excellence, Sustainability and Innovation in Procurement
  • Drive EU projects efficiently to improve process, policies and ownership.
  • 100% compliance to policies and procedures with operations partners
  • Achieve elimination of ‘waste’ within FC Procurement processes in order to define best and standardized practice across the network

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and Master`s degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in German
  • Extensive sourcing or operational experience
  • Must have previous people management experience
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Experience with tactical and strategic projects
  • Experience with sustainable Procurement
  • Familiarity with procurement systems e.g. Oracle, Coupa, and SAP
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, alongside willingness to learn proprietary systems
  • Presentation skills
  • Experience with metrics creation and data presentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA
  • Supply chain or Procurement certifications
  • Advanced Analytics skills and experience
  • Significant previous experience in Procurement/Operations/Supply Chain/Logistics/Ecommerce
  • High level of attention-to-detail
