As a Working Student in Offshore Foundations, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the design and development of offshore foundations for our wind farms. As a Working Student in Offshore Foundations, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the design and development of offshore foundations for our wind farms. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and innovative environment focused on renewable energy.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Support in Design Phases: You will assist with geotechnical and structural tasks during both the early conceptual stages and more detailed design phases of offshore wind parks worldwide. You will be able to learn and grow in a collaborative and highly fun team environment.
- Insight into Design Workflow: Gain understanding of the complete workflow from soil investigations to creating position-specific monopile designs.
- Special Engineering Challenges: Collaborate with the primary support structure team to tackle special engineering challenges, such as processing and interpreting of measurement data from the offshore fleet.
- Development of Engineering Tools: Have the opportunity to develop and improve in-house engineering tools and processes, working directly with engineers in the Hamburg office.
- Learning Opportunities: Benefit from numerous learning opportunities and gain insights into the operations of a globally leading technology enterprise (our team has a presence in Germany, Netherlands & India).
- You are currently enrolled as a student in a technical field, such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, Renewable Energy or a related discipline
- You have a good geotechnical / structural knowledge and the interest in solving challenging engineering tasks
- You have in-depth knowledge in Matlab, knowledge of Python & Plaxis 3D is considered an advantage
- You have already gained exceptional marks and analytical skills
- You are self-driven with an eye for detail and work analytically
- A good command of English is necessary to effectively communicate and collaborate in our international work environment
- You are a Team player with excellent communication skills and innovative mindset, but also the ability to work independently
- You are enrolled in a German university and are willing to support our team in the Hamburg office in person on a weekly basis
