Position Overview
As a Regional Operations Manager at Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (EMEA), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operating companies across the region as part of our Regional Operations Team, based in Hamburg. You will act as a primary partner for local management in strategic planning and budgeting, serving as a sparring partner, advisor, and connector between the operating entities and the central functions of NG GmbH. You will work in a team consisting of experienced Operations Managers and Regional Financial Controllers who share experience and best practices with Regional Operations teams in other regions.
Your responsibilities will include promoting entrepreneurial thinking, challenging assumptions, inspiring new ideas, and ensuring alignment with the group’s strategy, financial framework, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
- Co-develop Annual Business Plans and Budgets: Collaborate with local company management to create annual business plans and budgets.
- Translate Strategic Goals: Convert strategic goals defined by the regional CEO into actionable plans across the region.
- Review and Challenge Business Plans: Ensure the quality and feasibility of proposed business plans.
- Motivate and Support Local Teams: Motivate, guide, and support local CEOs and their teams in achieving business goals.
- Risk Management: Fulfill a control function by monitoring risk limits adherence and ensuring risk mitigation.
- Commercial and Financial Decisions: Lead and advise on commercial and financial decisions, consulting with regional operational management leadership.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure the implementation of group policies, limits, and reporting standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and business models.
- Cultural Development: Foster a culture of openness, entrepreneurialism, and accountability.
- Communication Bridge: Act as a key communication bridge between NG GmbH departments (e.g., HR, Legal, Taxes, Controlling, Compliance) and the operating companies of the region.
- Coordinate Exchanges: Coordinate structured and informal exchanges to enhance transparency and collaboration.
- Degree in Business Administration: A degree in business administration with 3-5 years of work experience.
- Trading Experience: Proven experience in a commercial function, ideally with exchange-traded soft commodities.
- Analytical Skills: Outstanding ability to assess information & to propose solutions.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
- Professionalism and Integrity: High levels of professionalism, integrity, and independence.
- Strategic and Operational Balance: Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational pragmatism.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; German and Spanish are an advantage.
