Senior Software Developer Perception (all genders) - #2133578

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products with focus on perception.

Responsibilities

• New and further development of algorithms for the processing of LIDAR (laser scanner) data
• Evaluation of ideas and concepts and development of sustainable solutions in a team
• Targeted development and improvement of reliable software through code reviews, unit testing and continuous integration
• Requirements specification based on the needs and wishes of internal requirements and customers
• Working according to agile planning processes and creating sustainable documentation of software components
• You are involved in research and/or customer projects as well as new product development

Qualifications

• Your background is a BS/MSc/Diploma/PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a comparable qualification
• >5 years Solid programming experience in C++ (modular development, design patterns, performance optimization, real-time requirements, testing)
• Excellent skills in creating high quality, fast and reusable source code
• Knowledge in data analysis (tools, statistics, visualization, prototyping, ...) )
• Experience with software development on Linux-based operating systems
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of software development tools, methods and processes, focus on automotive standards desirable
• AI/ML knowledge (classical ML methods, neural networks, application and optimization of networks for real-time capable systems, etc.) desirable ) desired
• Basic prior knowledge of processing LIDAR point clouds 2D/3D (e.g. segmentation, ground detection, feature detection/object detection) and/or optimization algorithms would be an advantage
• Good written and spoken German and/or English skills
