Your Tasks

• Shape Data-Centric Product Strategy: Support and implement a digital product strategy focused on data structure, governance, and availability, aligned with Beiersdorf’s business objectives and R&D goals.
• Data Inventory Management: Establish and maintain an overview of data availability across all systems, ensuring accessibility and traceability for R&D use cases.
• Product Development Supervision: Oversee and monitor data-related digital projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with R&D objectives.
• Manage & Support Product Owners: Empower product owners in managing data-driven digital products throughout their lifecycle. Provide guidance on integrating data strategies into product development processes.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Ensure alignment of data-related digital projects across functions and systems (e.g., BSS), fostering collaboration to maximize the value of shared data assets.
• Management of Digital Data Projects: Drive your own digital products with a focus on improving data structures, ensuring seamless integration between systems, and enabling efficient data utilization for R&D processes.
• Feasibility Studies and Proof of Concepts: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess feasibility studies and proof of concepts for new data models or system integrations that accelerate R&D transformation.
• Technological Scouting: Stay up to date with advancements in data management technologies, identifying opportunities for internal application to enhance data availability and usability.
  
  

Your Profile

• Educational Background: Successfully completed studies in scientific disciplines, preferably with a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with Digital Data Projects: Strong experience in managing digital products focused on data structure and governance. Proven track record of delivering complex data-related projects in a dynamic environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of database structures, metadata management, DevOps principles, Azure ecosystems (e.g., Azure Machine Learning Studio), BI Solutions (Power BI) and Reporting Infrastructure.
• Agile Methodologies in Matrix Setup: Experience working within agile frameworks in a matrix organization to facilitate cross-functional collaboration while optimizing the use of available data resources.
• Data Strategy Expertise: Broad understanding of the challenges associated with establishing scalable data models across multiple systems while addressing compliance and governance requirements.
• Interdisciplinary Enthusiasm: Passionate about working at the intersection of R&D processes and advanced digital tools for enhanced decision-making through optimized use of available data.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively; fluency in spoken and written English is required; German is a plus.
• R&D Knowledge: Familiarity with R&D development processes, particularly as they relate to leveraging structured datasets across the value chain for innovation acceleration.
• Solution-Oriented Mindset: Demonstrates social competence, solution-oriented thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities within existing datasets or improving system integration.
  
  

The salary range (Total Target Cash) is approximately EUR 85,000 - 95,000 gross depending on knowledge and experience plus benefits.
