Tasks

• Implement & execute the ocean freight strategy for the assigned trade, in line with the company’s goals.
• Manage and drive pricing & procurement activities as well as trade initiatives to support volume growth and maximize profitability.
• Develop tailored ocean freight products and solutions for the DACHSER ocean freight management and sales organization.
• Responsible to establish, implement & monitor trade budgets with proactive volume steering to achieve assigned targets.
• Manage carrier relationships, conducting regular performance meetings.
• Actively support and guide the sales organization, incl. joint customer visits and define a mutual strategy, to foster trade growth.
• Provide market intelligence and regular reports for strategic decision-making, identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education / Degree in international Shipping / Freight Forwarding, well-founded experience in Ocean Freight FCL Trade Management
• Comprehensive market and industry knowledge
• In depth knowledge of ocean freight tariffs and contracts​ related to international shipping
• Excellent carrier relationships and negotiation skills​
• Business fluent in English
• Prepared to travel for business
• Experience in driving successful commercial customer negotiation​s
• Teamplayer & entrepreneurial mindset
